Representatives of the media (reporters, photographers, camera operators, technicians, and so on) who wish to cover the Lying-in-Repose and State Funeral of the Honourable Jack Layton must obtain accreditation in order to have access to the different media positions in Toronto.
For security clearance to media positions, accreditation will be mandatory. Please send your request to the Department of Canadian Heritage at media@pch.gc.ca.
A media centre located in the Studio Room of Roy Thomson Hall will be available to media from August 25 to August 27.
The hours of operation are as follows:
August 25: 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
August 26: 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
August 27: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The accreditation passes for Toronto will be available on August 25 from 8:30 a.m. Requests for accreditation will be accepted until 10:00 a.m. on August 27.
