Media Accreditation for the Lying-in-State, Lying-in-Repose and State Funeral of the Honourable Jack Layton

Representatives of the media (reporters, photographers, cameramen, technicians, and so on) who wish to cover the Lying-in-State, Lying-in-Repose and State Funeral of the Honourable Jack Layton must obtain accreditation in order to have access to the different media positions in Ottawa and Toronto.

For security clearance to media positions, accreditation will be mandatory.

For the Lying-in-State in Ottawa, only the Canadian Parliamentary Press Gallery accreditation pass will be accepted. Please contact collin.lafrance@parl.gc.caCollin Lafrance at or via telephone at 613-992-6517.

For the Lying-in-Repose and State Funeral in Toronto, please send your request to the Department of Canadian Heritage at media@pch.gc.ca.

The accreditation passes for Toronto will be available on August 25 from 8:30 a.m.
